Cotton

Cotton is a vegetable fiber that covers the seeds of cotton, the most important and cheapest, widespread vegetable fiber.

Advantages of cotton fiber fabrics: cheap production, good hygienic properties (in terms of hygroscopic and air permeability), ability to shrink. Disadvantages: susceptibility to pilling, abrasion, crushing (without special treatment), sensitivity to light (as in most natural fabrics), a large amount of irreversible deformations (product stretching) due to a small amount of elastic deformation.
